GOOGLE CLOUD TPU v5e / v6e & BIGTABLE MESH ACTIVE
LAB REF: AXL-GCP-2026.11

Asymptotic Foundations for Petascale Graphs and Autonomous Agents.

We investigate the mathematical limits and systems architecture of intelligence: sub-millisecond knowledge graphs over Cloud Bigtable SSTables, custom Pallas kernels on Google Cloud TPUs, and provably convergent autonomous agent swarms.

Foundational Research at Scale

Bridging theoretical computer science with petascale hardware infrastructure on Google Cloud to unlock next-generation reasoning systems.

01 / HARDWARE CO-DESIGN

TPU Acceleration & Distributed Topologies

We develop low-level JAX and Pallas kernels tailored for Google TPU v5e and Trillium (v6e) architectures. Our research optimizes high-bandwidth inter-chip interconnect (ICI) 3D torus networks, fusing sparse attention mechanisms directly into Vector Memory (VMEM) to minimize High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) bottlenecks.

  • Pallas Custom VMEM Sparse Aggregation Kernels
  • 3D Torus Interconnect Optical Switch Routing
  • Near-linear asymptotic efficiency on 512+ chip pods
  • Low-precision FP8 & BF16 mixed-precision tensor pipelines

Cloud Bigtable Trillion-Edge Knowledge Graphs

Large language models fail when decoupled from structured real-world ground truth. We build ultra-high-throughput knowledge graph architectures directly on Google Cloud Bigtable. By engineering optimal lexicographical row-key schemas and Bloom filter configurations, we achieve sub-millisecond graph traversals over trillions of edges.

  • Sub-1.4ms p99 query latency across petabyte SSTable shards
  • Locality-sensitive entity embedding partitions
  • Strictly bounded O(V_sub + E_sub) traversal complexities
  • Zero-replication overhead across multi-region Bigtable clusters
03 / COGNITIVE SYSTEMS

Autonomous Agents & Decoupled Memory

Current agents suffer from volatile context windows and hallucinations. We pioneer Decoupled Agentic Memory (DAM), enabling autonomous agents to read, commit, and prune contextual state into persistent Bigtable graphs. Reasoning traces are formally verified using graph invariants and mathematical convergence proofs.

  • Decoupled Agentic Memory (DAM) architecture
  • Formal Lyapunov stability in multi-agent consensus
  • Context compression exceeding 28x with zero retention loss
  • Deterministic tool execution and safety verification

Google Cloud Enterprise AI Co-Design

We harness the complete Google Cloud AI ecosystem—from Vertex AI Pipelines and Ray on GKE to Confidential Computing. Our research models are designed for elastic horizontal scalability, automated fault-tolerant checkpointing, and verifiable cryptographic data provenance.

  • Vertex AI distributed training and orchestration
  • Kubernetes Engine (GKE) heterogeneous TPU/GPU clusters
  • Zero-trust hardware security with Confidential Space
  • Streaming continuous evaluation and telemetry sinks

Core Operating Principles

How we approach foundational systems and artificial intelligence research.

§ 01

Asymptotic Efficiency First

Heuristic engineering breaks down at trillion-parameter scales. We prioritize formal computational complexity bounds—guaranteeing sub-linear or constant-time scaling behavior across storage, interconnects, and agentic reasoning loops.

§ 02

Hardware-Algorithm Co-Design

Software cannot be divorced from silicon. Our algorithms are structured to conform directly to the physical topology of Google Cloud TPU matrix multiplication units (MXUs) and high-speed optical ICI links.

§ 03

Verifiable Agent Grounding

Autonomous agents must not hallucinate in mission-critical environments. We ground agentic trajectories against deterministic Bigtable knowledge graphs with mathematical Lyapunov convergence proofs.
